My client is a manufacturer of products for automotive, life sciences, electronics and military applications. Due to continued investment, they are looking to recruit an experienced Toolmaker to be based at their state-of-the art manufacturing plant in Lanarkshire.
Reporting to the Tool Room Manager, you will be responsible for the effective repair, maintenance and manufacture of tooling, jigs and fixtures. To be given serious consideration for this position, applicants must be a time-served Toolmaker and must be able to demonstrate previous experience with injection mould tooling. This is a dayshift/nightshift position with competitive basic salary plus overtime.

Due to continued growth this is a new role within the business and will be responsible for managing overall project timing and activities for New Programs and change control for Existing Programs.

Creating detailed timing schedules for all release changes
Responsible for timing of in-plant programs
Ensuring successful launch by interactions between all functional groups
Analysing timing reports to detect potential problems and submitting written recovery plans
Tracking project costs and timings
Manage cost request implementation as well as GMF PIP, including monthly reports

Applicants will have a high technical ability and experience working with a similar manufacturing environment. High level of interpersonal skills with excellent communication and organisational skills. APQP methodology knowledge is required.

Our client has a current requirement for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background specifically within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
The role will be a broad based engineering role and will be involved in new product introduction, supporting the manufacturing function and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Candidates must have a background in Mechanical Engineering (essential) with knowledge and experience of CNC machining. You will have an understanding of Bills of Materials as well as Engineering Drawings and of Six Sigma processes. You will have a structured approach to Fault/Finding and Problem Solving.
You will ideally be qualified to degree level, however candidates with an HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with the required experience will be considered.
